Tony McDaniel
Alumni - Outside Hitter, Women's Assistant Coach - Orlando, FL
Tony was an active member of the club team for five years. He was a strong, smart outside hitter who understood the game. Due to knee problems, Tony was unable to compete for portions of his last year at the University. Nevertheless, he volunteered to be the women's assistant coach while completing his rehabilitation.
Tony played competitive volleyball for six years. Prior to his career at the University of Miami, he played for Edgewater High School. Tony's real passion is on the beach. He still is primarily a beach volleyball player that competes in as many beach volleyball tournaments as he can.
Tony received his master's degree in Industrial Engineering in May of 2009. He received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering as well with minors in Psychology and Religious Studies. Tony is currently working in Orlando, FL for Lockheed Martin.
Despite his expertise on the beach and court, he did not touch a volleyball until his junior year of high school. He also loves grape drink (sugar, water, & purple).
